Are you a unique individual?
Do you have an expressive face?
Can you keep on beat? (well…this isn’t exactly necessary…)
Are you into Facebook games? Now I’m not talking about the life-sucking games like the farm one or that old mafia one. I mean those short one-time-and-you’re-done kinda games.

I love ’em! I’ve found out about a fun game you guys have got to try. (FYI: I’ve tried it five million times and I still suck at it!) It’s called Facestrument and it is so silly and fun. You get to just act a fool, act posh, act crazy…
act however you like…or just be yourself…but you also try to win points by doing certain facial moves when the game tells you to.
As I write that, I think I realize why I keep doing poorly at the game.

I just go berserk and never really follow the moves the game instructs me to make! Haha. You can check out the app here.
So you basically log in, and then choose your music: Indie rock (easy – allegedly), Hip Hop (medium), or Pop (hard!). And then the camera tells you where to position yourself so your facial movement score can be counted. You’ll see yourself and your funky faces on the screen along with the instructions on certain moves to do at certain times.
My face-eye-brain connection must not be working well, because I just spaz out! But it’s so much fun! You can make your music video and share with people. You get to just let loose!
Now, I mentioned that this was a “one time and you’re done” kinda game…
but honestly…I’ve tried it so many times just to watch myself look crazy….even though I tell myself I’m trying again so I can get a better score. I think I got the highest score at Hip Hop, but “high score” is relative. Even the game basically told me “ummmm how bout you try again.”
Try it out and let me know how you do. Maybe it really is hard and I won’t feel so bad about just playing it to wild out instead of win points!
I think I’m going to hold Roey up to the camera and let him play Facestrument and see how he does. If an 8-month-old beats my score, I will cry!
Seriously though, playing Facestrument was a nice break and kinda healthy too. I was writing on a deadline and getting myself all stressed for not having the “right” words for my piece…and was on the verge of throwing my laptop at John out the window. I stopped writing, and played the game, and had so much fun just being silly, I forgot to be all stressed. (I finally did get the piece written though, and on time!)
