So, I watched this:
and was mini inspired.
I thought about a few one-word options: Enjoy, Savor, Build, Grow…
But I decided on:
FOCUS.
FOCUS Maaaaaan. (said like JayZ)
That is truly the best word for this year.
I’m admittedly all over the place, and it has worked for me well enough up until now.
There are three main areas of my life I need to focus on for 2011:
Health. Finances. Career.
- Health as it relates to my physical body as well as my spirit
- Finances as it relates to my budget, savings and investments
- Career as it relates to my education, business and setting myself up to be a WAHM in a few years.
That doesn’t mean I’m going to just drop relationships, have no personal entertainment time, or forget the other things on my 2011 to do list. I’m just going to prioritize. I’m going to whittle away my smaller agendas and truly FOCUS on these 3 that count the most and will have the biggest impact on who I am throughout the year and beyond.
I’m going to put a big fat FOCUS on my vision board and a little one at my desk at work to remind me of what 2011 is all about.

Blind Optimism. I know it's 2 words… But it's what I've been feeling these past few weeks…. And it feels good!

My theme for this year is "Cultivation & Preparation" but if I have to narrow it down to just one word it'll be RELATIONSHIPS.
I'm focusing on strengthening my relationship with my husband, growing my relationship with my kids, developing my relationships with my industry colleagues and beginning my relationships with casting directors & representation.
Definitely an inspiring post!
