So, about 3 months ago I told you about my use of Women’s ROGAINE® Foam to work on my hereditary hair loss. It’s been about 12 weeks now so I’m writing with an update….
My hair has been thinning for about a year now, totally unrelated to the past pregnancies, just because…I’m unlucky lol. I noticed the thinning out when my hair was soaking wet because it lays flatter. When dry my hair is so curly that the volume makes the thin areas unnoticeable to others…
But I still knew what was going on under there. It did not feel good. Made me feel super old and oddly masculine. So, I started using Women’s ROGAINE® Foam daily back in September. OK, so to be really real, and in total honesty, I may have skipped a day or two here and there… Like…maybe one day a week or so?
Sadly, I don’t have a million inches of new growth to report in … wouldn’t that be nice?
BUT!!!
After about a month…to 6 weeks of using ROGAINE® consistently, I started noticing no additional thinning in my major trouble area (the front middle). It just … didn’t look any worse… I was geeked, but I wasn’t sure if it was real or if I just wanted to see that result so bad that I was tricking myself….
But no, it truly seemed to slow my shedding. And around 8 weeks I let myself really believe it was working and not my eyes playing tricks on me! 🙂
That is my major win, along with a general less shedding overall.
Next win is noticeably less thinning in the crown and top area of my scalp!!
**happy dance time**
My hair is still growing at its usual rate. I haven’t yet noticed an increase in new growth in the front middle, but I am sure it’s soon to come. The info on the ROGAINE® box says that within 12 weeks you should start to regrow hair and around 24 weeks you will have noticeable results. I can’t wait to see what 24 weeks has in store for my head.
I’m just gunna go ahead and say it… I was skeptical. Really skeptical. I kinda had low hopes, but it really works! You have to keep using it to maintain your results, and I intend to. Daily ongoing use is a super small price to pay to have your hair looking awesome and full and not looking a hot patchy mess!
Using Women’s ROGAINE® Foam is easy like I mentioned in my first post. I use it whether I’ve washed my hair or not. You guys already know I’m lazy, so this being easy to use no matter the hairstyle is crucial. I also used it on straightened hair and it didn’t make it curl back up. Not sure if it’s because it’s not a very wet/liquidy foam, or if it’s because it dissolves into your scalp so quickly. Either reason is fine by me, just as long as it continues to work well for me.
I am using the appropriate amount, and I honestly think that this can is going to last longer than expected.
I will give another update in 3 more months. I’m hoping by then I’ll see the front middle bit filled fully in again! I’m excited.

You are so silly…the happy dance had me going. BUT thanks for the honest feedback. I’ve noticed a little more shedding than I wanted and my sister is really losing hers. (And she’s younger than me, so she’s really concerned.) I’ll be checking this out.

I have not tried Women’s Rogaine, but I would love to try it for my thinning hair on the front of my scalp. I am glad that you had good results. I know it takes time to see new growth with this product. I am going to try it for myself.

I am so glad this product is working well for you so far. My son, who is pretty young still is dealing with thining hair and he has just purchased Men’s Rogaine. I hope he has successful use with it as well.

I have not use this product but won a year’s supply for my best friend who has thinning hair. She has just started using it this past week. I will have to let her know about your result to-date as it is still a winning situation.
