Allegedly….when I was a little girl I was a mouthy little terror.
::blink blink::
I know…. I dont believe that slander either. *wink*
I remember having adults tell me all the time that I will have revenge upon me when I have a daughter. First of all, I don’t know why adults like to curse children in that way, but I think the curse came true… cuz Kai is a trip.
I love having time alone just me and Kai when Ro is at school. She loves to help mommy and do big girl things (because she likes to remind me daily that “she is a grown up.”) We do a lot of activities together like arts and crafts, yoga, playing outside, cooking, doing hair or nails, and makeup.
I remember before I had a daughter I would see moms who dress alike with their daughters and think it was equally adorable and cheesey at the same time Now that I have my own little mini me, I like coordinating with her without being 100% matchy matchy. I have noticed that she likes to be matching which is so sweet to me. Sometimes I have to remember oh my gosh, I’m this little girl’s role model. I haven’t yet to come to buying matching dresses but we do have matching hair and we have matching sneakers thanks to Reebok and DSW. Take a look at these bad boys.
I remember having a black pair of these Reebok Classics in high school but these blush metallic ones are so much cooler.
I must admit she looks much more adorable in them than I do. They are super comfortable and in my opinion make me look a little less raggedy if I’m wearing just a t-shirt with leggings… which is all the time.
Kaya trips me out though. She just turned four and she is so strong willed and full of her own ideas:
Me: Kaya, let’s practice your letters.
Kai: I don’t need to. I know K-A-Y-A. I don’t need any other letters.
um…. #savage #girlthereare26letterstoknow
Me: Kai, let’s go take a nature walk.
Kai: ….Let’s go walk in the mall instead, mama!!
Me: ….okay! (fml)
She’s a trip, and if you follow me on social, you’ve already seen/heard some of her antics. I do love that she enjoys “looking like mama” which basically means matching our shoes, or at least the colors we’re wearing or hairstyle. (This kid LOVES a top knot, and it makes me so happy.)
I dig that she goes wild when I tell her to pick her own clothes out….

What is even going on here!??!
But, she will agree with me without a fuss when I put her in something simple like the leggings, tee, and Reebok Classics in the pics up above. You can get matching Reebok Classics for your entire family at DSW today. Check them out here!

While I think I am going to be a mom of boys, this made me smile! I can still have matching kicks with my mini man 😉

Seriously, words can’t even begin to describe how cute this is! Matching is so much fun. During the holidays, myself, my son and I all wore black flannel matching shirts. I f only I had a girl so we could be completely identical with outfits sometimes.
Those sneakers looks great!

My mini me is ten years old and I am a little envious of her. She has waaayy more self confidence in herself than I do when I was her age. Its also something about her I’m very proud of. At times, her self confidence is too much for her friends and Im teaching her how to be both confident and humble. Cute kicks!
