Go RVing was a fun booth to attend. They were there sharing about the RVing lifestyle and I learned how varied it really is. In my mind it was very.. off the grid, bare bones, and lots of work for mom. But at the Go RVing booth they gave me the real deal. You can take a peek at my two facebook live videos HERE and HERE where I toured two campers. One was tiny and cute that you can hook up to the back of your truck. And the other was huge and luxurious that you drive on it’s own. So cool.
Kraft Macaroni & Cheese were there and that is a staple for Ro and Kai so I was happy. That’s my easy go-to meal when I’m short on time or just not feeling like cooking something drawn out. The kids love it and wolf it down, just like I used to when I was a kid. (OK sometimes I’ll wolf it down with them if it’s carb day)
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had made some changes to their recipe. No artificial flavors, no artificial preservatives and no artificial dyes. Kraft Mac n cheese is now healthier and cleaner! They were really smart about it too. They made the changes and didn’t announce it. They just released the healthier version in the old packaging. So now, they’re sharing the healthy changes they made and receiving no push-back because people have BEEN eating the healthier version. Tricky tricky….like a parent sneaking in veggies!

Another food related booth that made a big impact on me was the Bush’s booth. I make a big ol batch of “rice” and beans every single week. We use Bush’s black beans every week, and kidney beans every week in John’s chili. I hadn’t seen the hummus mixes before so for me it was a brand new product. They are these flavor packets that you pop in the blender with garbonzo beans (chickpeas) and boom. Instant hummus. They have a variety of flavors. I was given the red pepper version to try so I’ll be doing that this week. (Check instagram to see the results) Sadly, the dog from the commercials wasn’t in attendance so I couldn’t ask him for the family’s secret recipe. Maybe next time.
I love the expo hall at Blogher every year because I get to meet with brands I already love (like Bushes and Kraft) and experience new ones like Go RVing. I’m already excited for next year’s conference experience!

I have never been to a blog conference before, but your insider videos and photos are giving me a better idea of what it is like at a conference. I am going to my first one this year, and maybe next year I will be ready for a larger conference like Blogher. Thanks for sharing. #entry

I have been wanting to go RVing forever!!! I put my pettiness aside and enjoyed watching all the FB Live videos you did inside of the RVs and def have to put BlogHer on my list of conferences next year. Now that a sistah has a J.O.B. I can actually budget better to hit up the ones I usually miss. #entry

I saw that Kraft made changes. I am going to keep an eye on the prices (and taste) as mr sophisticated won’t eat just any Mac and cheese. We are a rice and bean family too. Beans are one of the only fruit/veggie my son will eat. #entry
