OK girls, I need your help in two big ways: Songs and Sneakers
I’m so stuck in my workout music!
I listen to ratchet filthy do-you-kiss-your-mother-with-that-mouth dancehall reggae or twerky hip hop, especially from southern rappers I never heard of. OR I listen to old classic R&B like Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke like an old lady. There is no middle.
OK that’s not true, cuz I do have some Cascada and Britney on my playlist…#dontjudgeme but I need to update and shake things up…
What are your favorite:
Songs to run to:
Song that pumps you up:
Song to cool down to:
Songs that make you feel invincible:
OK…
Now I need help with choosing sneakers. I like sneakers that are super duper light. I can’t run in a heavy running shoe. Can you? Honestly it makes me wanna give up, go home and lay down. My last pair were fairly light, but they are sadly going to the glue factory soon.
What running sneakers do you have?
What running sneakers do you want or would suggest?
(Please don’t suggest no $200 sneakers….I’m looking for cheapies $75 or under!)
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!!!

I loved listening to some old school Metalica, like 1983 Kill Em All. Girrrrll. I got my burn ON with that one! Ride The Lighting was a good one to run/lift weights as well.

My absolute favorite 5k run mix is a Latin house and reggae mix called Island Hopping on the Rock My Run app. Outside of that for high energy I like Soca and Calypso. I also like like fast paced gospel like Take It Back by Dorinda Clarke-Cole and Karen Clarke-Sheards Authority and Hallelujah both live versions. Usually after those three songs I’m beasting! LOL.

Some great sneakers are the Roshe by Nike. Those are great. I know some people who have them in several colors. I have a pair myself and they are lightweight and very comfy. Great for walking around or if you stand on your feet often. Songs..I can’t listen to R&B while I work out, although I have a friend that does. I would fall asleep lol. One song is from the Black Eyed Peas called Anxiety..that music pumps me up. I will blast it a few times. The drums and everything on that track is great.

Well considering I’m a country music lover , that makes up the largest part of my playlist lol. I also enjoy some reggae and soca to get me pumped. I currently have some New Balance running shoes that I love, so those would be my recommendation.

I run to ratchet music like you, I have my Babe share his workout music with me. I’m an R&B girl but trash music is the best for running. Now my favorite joints right now are Beyonce 7-11, Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nikki 3some Bang Bang, Taylor Swift Share it Off and All About the Bass. I get my total girl power on.
Sneakers I’m not particular but I’ve been running in a pair of UnderArmor sneakers. They are light weight but most of all they are cute bold colors. hahaha

For music I go with old school HipHop, soca or house. I’ve been listening to DJ Private Ryan on sound cloud.
My feet have been all over the place since motherhood. I prefer lightweight kicks too. Saucony has great light weight runners for a good price. I’m also known to buy the previous season’s style from running warehouse or 6pm dot com.

I workout to any kind of soca music, pop and Beyonce for some reason gets me pumped. I’m not even a huge fan of hers. lol
