Podcasting is the new Black and Black podcasters are where it’s at right now. I have found quite a few African-American podcasts that are binge-worthy. Here are a couple of the best black podcasts to get you started:
#1: Manifest It, Sis!
OK I had to start with my own podcast. #shameless! It’s a podcast that covers personal development, wellness, non-religious spirituality, self care and of course, manifesting!
Every other episode has a dynamic guest interviewee, and then solo episodes diving into a manifesting topic are sprinkled in between. Check it out on iOS, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, iheartradio, or right here on the blog!
Here are some of the latest episodes to get you started:
#2 The Boonie Breakdown
Laaawd, I don’t even know where to begin with this one! The Boonie Breakdown is Responsible Ratchetness that you will resonate deeply with. Some of you may clutch your pearls, but I bet you’ll still listen tho! Boonie is as relatable as can be and great to listen to with interesting topics and dynamic guests. (And I’m not just saying that because I was one of em lol)

#3 The Other Side of 40
This podcast, by April Noelle, is for women nearing or after forty who are living their best lives with no regrets, no guilt and a helluva lot of grace. I interviewed the host on my podcast, and she had great insight into the pivot that seems to hit women around 40. Her podcast has relatable content for all women though.

#4 Brown Girl Self Care
Want some self care with a gentle touch and vulnerable heart? Brown Girl Self Care is for you. Check out the blog too. There are lots of ways the Brown Girl Self Care team supports its listeners.

#5 Girl Be Free
Want to be free? Listen to Siobhan’s podcast. She has a lovely take on self help with an angle of “being free!” Spoiler alert: it requires you doing the self work to get yourself unstuck. She has great guests and interesting and introspective solo episodes that I know will resonate deeply with you.
#6 Mimi Said What
If you like podcasts that feel like random chat with a bestie, you’ll love Mimi Robinson’s podcast. She covers family topics, current events and entertainment as well. Her energy is infectious and I know you’ll dig her as much as I do.
Check out Mimi Said What HERE!
#7 Dream Girl, Dream
Dream! Dream Girl, Dream is a podcast designed to encourage women to go for the things they dream about in life. Each week the host, Bernetta Knighten, shares tips and steps that will move you into action. Each episode has talks that are designed to move you into action and one step (or more) to the life you desire!

And in case you’re new to the podcast world, here are the ones that show up on everybody and their mama’s Black Podcasts list:
- Black Girl in Om
- Therapy for Black Girls
- The Read
- Code Switch
- The Nod
- Unbothered
- Jesus & Jollof
All are dope, but if you’re into the Black podcasting space, you probably already know of these.
