We’re home from the trip and had an excellent time. I am writing a full, detailed day-by-day review/trip report, but I’m not posting it here on the blog. I’ll give you the link to it on cruisecritic’s forums if you’re interested.
Here on the blog I’ll just do a review post and a couple of posts on specific experiences starting with this quickie post just to let you know that WE MADE IT!!!
Cruising with a baby aint so bad! In fact, it was awesome!!
I told you about my packing issues, well, I definitely overpacked (and then bought MORE stuff at Target in Baltimore before getting on the ship) however, most of the non-clothes items I packed, I used!! I could’ve brought just 50% of the clothes and still been fine. Full report on that coming your way.
Our plans for sitter service…review on that coming your way too. Short answer: Roey did great! (And mommy didn’t have a break down!)
Our general plan for taking things as they come….hard for a planny planner like me, but definitely helped me keep my stress level low. We played days by ear and it was wonderful. Though I almost had a panic attack once we got off the ship in Bermuda and I realized I had one full day, so many options for activities and no plan whatsoever. #neurotic
Bermuda is gorgeous and I definitely need to go back (without a baby) for a week or so. There are amazing places to snorkel and lots of wrecks to dive to.
Trying to stay low(ish) carb, and exercise while on a cruise? Why do I do these things to myself? LOL. I did brave the bikini though, (should I have? lol) and I’ll tell you more on that….on Fit Friday I guess.
Sharkie’s going to have to take some swim lessons! He loves the water. (even tho it was FREEZING) Here’s his first time at the beach:
I took approximately 0.2 photos this trip. And we took the camcorder and probably got about seventeen seconds worth of footage. We were too busy enjoying ourselves to remember that we should try to capture the memories. Makes for sucky blogging, sorry girls! I’m trying to get better with the whole photo remembering thing!!
Overall everything about cruising with Roey was fine. So many people on the ship commented on how we were “brave” for bringing him. I think it was a lot easier than we, or other people expect it to be. Tips coming soon!
Oh, I’ve got a lot to share. I’ll be back soon with detailed posts for you! And I’m slowly catching up on your blogs so comments coming soon too!
Did ya miss me? (wait…don’t answer that.) I KNOW You Did 🙂

I’m glad you guys had fun! Why do pror always think parents are brave for vacationing with their children? Can’t wait for your link to cruise critic!

Not sure…maybe just the extra work? But you have to do the same work at home, so might as well do it somewhere that you don’t have to cook or clean!

Yaaay! Glad it went well =) Roey looks thrilled to be in the water! Uka was just lamenting over how he misses our cruise. Time to plan another I guess and I’ll definitely want to see your cruise critic review – I love nitty gritty reviews!

Yay! Glad to hear all went well. I hope to brave the challenge of traveling with a little one soon. Ill first have to convince hubby that we can do it. Roey is getting so big! Just adorable!
Dani says
You CAN do it. It’s not hard, I promise.

Awww Very nice. I haven’t been too excited about the idea of the cruise but I have been hearing good things about those who travel with babies on cruises. I just might give it a try.

Dani!! Missed you… I’ve been in la-la land…so I’m glad to have the chance to sit and catch up with your trip! So glad it all went so smoothly! Roey looks like he had an awesome time. Can’t wait for the detailed recap on traveling with a small one. Our stroller just arrived yesterday, so I’m starting to get the itch to start packing already ha! …we have till November! Anywho, glad you’re back!
